Prevention Educator
Full-Time Non-Exempt Position
$14.42/hour plus benefits

  • Plan and implement prevention education via evidence-based curriculum to elementary, middle and high school students on issues of sexual assault, dating and domestic violence.
  • Work with students, schools and families to strengthen student’s knowledge and skills to enhance relationships and environments that impact youth.
  • Evaluate/revise/develop prevention education programs
  • Provide direct services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence as necessary.
  • Is a member of the Outreach & Education Team

Qualifications:  A passion for, and a commitment to working with children and youth. A bachelor’s degree in education, communication or related field. A minimum of two years experience in public speaking or program delivery. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of individuals, including children and teens. Must be highly organized and have the responsibility and discipline to work both independently with a team.

Must receive FBI, Act 33, and 34 clearances
Must have reliable means of transportation
Must successfully complete CCWRC counselor/advocate training

Overnight / Weekend Shelter Counselor
Part-time, non-exempt position, $10.71/hour

Provide direct services to shelter residents including individual counseling
and goal setting, intake and exit interviews, information and referral,
and enforcing shelter rules and regulations.

Maintain physical aspects of the shelter and safety/security of the building,
including monitoring the electronic security system and basic upkeep of the shelter.

Hours/Shifts include: 9 PM to 9 AM overnight shifts and Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: overnights and daytime hours

Requirements: Degree and/or experience working with women and children in a human service delivery system preferred.

Successful completion of CCWRC counselor/advocate training program.
Must meet qualifications to receive FBI, Act 33, and Act 34 clearances.
