Twilight Dinners 2019

You are invited to dine elegantly at traditional dinners or partake of adventurous lighter fare weekends in March, April, May, June. These gourmet dinners are donated by the hosts.  Of the $100 cost per guest, $60 is considered your tax deductible gift to Centre Safe. If you are unable to attend one of this year’s Twilight Dinners, please consider making donation to the Twilight Dinner Fund.

A celebration of European Cuisine! Come join hosts Grace & Guy Pilato and Jim & David Frego-Bliek as they prepare a European Feast with details placed on the artistic presentation of food – a treat not only to the palate but also to the eye. “Three Bites of China”

This dinner will offer you a rare chance to sample some of the authentic signature dishes from three major Chinese Cuisines:  Chuan, Hakka, and Jiangsu, originated from West, South, and East China, respectively. Using locally available ingredients, regionally distinct seasoning, and traditional cooking techniques, our lead chef Shen, along with a mystery guest chef, will take you on a food adventure to explore these diverse regions of China and what they have to offer.

The salsa will be hot, the chili will be too, we’re celebrating Cinco and we’d love to include you! Bring your sombreros because we’ll have the pinata. Enjoy a margarita or sangria with your South of the Border selections. Everyone leaves with some of Richard’s homemade HOT! sauce or salsa. Ridiculous amounts of fun and laughter to be had!

“Surf  ‘n’ Turf in the DIY Style”

Join us as we cook some of our favorite dishes in this delicious DIY Surf ‘n’ Turf menu. Learn the techniques to preparing mouth-watering Seared Steaks with a Red Wine Reduction, shrimp in lemon, garlic, and wine sauce, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, and Tavern original strawberry pie. You will receive demonstrations of each recipe, prepare some dishes with help from your table mates and savor your creations. Wine pairing and entertainment will be added ingredients in the evening.

The evening will begin at Kish Bank for cocktails and a selection of hors d’oeuvres while enjoying local wines provided by Seven Mountains Wine Cellars. Then, we’ll progress to the Tavern where you’ll enjoy appetizers and delicious tapas. We will wrap up the evening at Spats at the Grill with a variety of succulent desserts
