If you would like to make a non-monetary donation, below is a list of items our shelter needs.  Purchase items using AmazonSmile and the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the Centre County Women’s Resource Center.

If you wish to donate something that is not on our list, or if you have a large donation, please call ahead at 814.238.7066. Donations can only be accepted during our business hours of Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, unless otherwise arranged.

– Kitchen Items –

  • Bagel slicer
  • Large cutting knives and paring knives
  • Paper plates and napkins (prefer no Styrofoam)
  • Dish cloths and towels
  • Dish sponges
  • Dish Soap (for hand washing dishes)
  • Heavy bottomed pots and pans (Large frying pans, soup and stock pots)
  • Bake ware
  • Silverware-Forks
  • Utensils for children and babies
  • Disposable cutlery
  • Foil and plastic wrap
  • Sandwich and storage bags (gallon and quart)
  • Plastic storage containers (Like Tupperware)
  • Serving/mixing bowls
  • Large cooking utensils
  • Baking Staples (especially flour and sugar)
  • Coffee, coffee creamer, coffee filters
  • Powdered drink mix
  • Sugar

– Bedroom Items –

  • One piece zippered plastic matress protectors
  • Pillow Protectors (prefer plastic lined)
  • Fitted mattress pads (prefer plastic lined with elastic rather than zippers)
  • Thin Quilts (all sizes)
  • Sheet Sets (all sizes)
  • Blankets

– Bathroom Items –

  • Bath Towels
  • Hand Towels
  • Toilet Paper
  • Wash cloths

– Cleaning Supplies –

  • New Clothing for Older Children (Boys and Girls sizes 10+)
  • Dolls and doll clothes (new or in very good condition)
  • Wooden blocks in good condition
  • Play food
  • DVD’s (non-violent, family appropriate)
  • Juice (bottles or boxes)
  • Gift cards for Family Activities (Examples: Fun Unleashed, Tussey Mountain, Northland Bowl, McDonald’s, Rita’s Italian Ice, the Creamery, etc)

  • Toe and fingernail clippers
  • Combs and brushes

  • Skin care products for sensitive skin

  • Shampoo/Conditioner (No Suave, VO5, White Rain, or travel-sizes please)

– Items for Women and Families Moving into New Homes –

  • Small or medium rolling suitcases
  • Rugs
  • Lamps
  • Curtains
  • Blankets
  • Sheets
  • Any small appliance (especially coffee makers)
  • Shower Curtain Rings and Rods
  • Bath mats

– General Items –

  • First aid supplies

  • Cash donations for the Valentine Fund (helps homeless pets of clients)

  • RCA cables (red, yellow, white connectors)
  • Toddler plastic riding toys

  • Sturdy children’s table and chairs
  • Small refrigerator
  • Step ladder
  • Certain types of over the counter medications

We apologize that we are not able to accept all donations and appreciate your thought. Due to a lack of storage space, please, NO clothing (unless requested), bar soap, bargain brand shampoo/conditioner, travel-size toiletries, children’s PJ’s, toys or books.
