If you would like to make a non-monetary donation, below is a list of items our shelter needs.  Purchase items using AmazonSmile and the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the Centre County Women’s Resource Center.

If you wish to donate something that is not on our list, or if you have a large donation, please call ahead at 814.238.7066. Donations can only be accepted during our business hours of Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, unless otherwise arranged.

We promote a scent-free workplace. This means we have a goal of all our offices and spaces used by staff and visitors remain free from scented products. For all kitchen and bathroom items and all cleaning products please donate only scent-free to us. Thank you!

  • Dryer sheets (unscented)
  • Quilts or comforters (all sizes, double needed the most)
  • Juice
  • New or gently-used laptop computers–less than 3 years old, with power cord, and all personal information deleted.
  • Sweatpants and t-shirts in all sizes (children and adult) neutral colors
  • Long sleeved t-shirts (women’s, all sizes)
  • Blankets (all sizes, double needed the most)
  • Slippers (all sizes)

– Kitchen Items –

  • Large cutting knives and paring knives
  • Paper plates and napkins (prefer no Styrofoam)
  • Dishwasher detergent
  • Heavy bottomed pots and pans (Large frying pans, soup and stock pots)
  • Bakeware
  • Silverware-Forks
  • Disposable cutlery
  • Foil and plastic wrap
  • Sandwich and storage bags (gallon and quart)
  • Freezer bags
  • Plastic storage containers (like Tupperware)
  • Bowls (serving, mixing, cereal/soup)
  • Large cooking utensils
  • Baking Staples (especially flour and sugar)
  • Coffee, coffee creamer, tea

– Bedroom Items –

  • Pillow Protectors (prefer plastic lined)
  • Thin Quilts (all sizes)

  • Dolls and doll clothes (new or in very good condition)

  • Gift cards for Family Activities (Examples: Fun Unleashed, Tussey Mountain, Northland Bowl, McDonald’s, Rita’s Italian Ice, the Creamery, etc)

We apologize that we are not able to accept all donations and appreciate your thought. Due to a lack of storage space, please, NO clothing (unless requested), bar soap, bargain brand shampoo/conditioner, travel-size toiletries, children’s PJ’s, toys or books.
