What Is Synthetix5
Synthetix5 has been around for many years and claims to be one of the most complex synthetic urine formulas out there. In actual fact, it used to have a pretty good reputation. But that was many years ago when drug testing was simpler, and before there was an issue around something called biocide.
Biocide is a preservative used in many fake urine brands. A lot of brands started failing about seven or eight years ago, and that footprint is what is suspected drug testing companies look for.
Although Synthetix5’s failures went up, the company never stated whether it contained biocide or not. That silence throws enough shade onto the product is to make it almost unrecommendable. Also, drug testing has moved on spectacularly in the past 10 years. The formula for Synthetix5 hasn’t.
Is Synthetix5 Good Quality?
According to the company that make it, Synthetix5 has the following characteristics:
- Contains the right amount of creatinine
- Contains the right amounts of urea and uric acid
- Is within the correct pH range
- Contains “many other” chemicals found in urine
Notice that it doesn’t mention specific gravity range, and there’s never any detail on what all these other chemicals are. It also uses a heatpad to maintain temperature. The claim is it will keep itself within the correct temperature range when attached to the urine bottle, which is close to your skin.
In my testing, I found the heatpad actually started to die after two hours. So I found their claim to be ridiculous. Also, what happens if someone at the drug testing company looks at the sample? Or shakes it, or even smells it?
Synthetix5 looks like urine, but it doesn’t smell like it, and it doesn’t froth like human urine does.
How To Use Synthetix5 Synthetic Urine To Pass A Drug Test
When it comes to the instructions, the how to use Synthetix5 synthetic urine to pass a drug test, they are pretty standard:
- Heat the premixed urine in a microwave, and repeat the process until you get a reading on the temperature strip.
- Activate the heatpad, attach it to the bottle, and tuck the bottle close to your skin, usually in your underwear.
- Hurry to the test center, and submit it as quickly as possible. As long as you’ve tucked it into your underwear, they can’t touch you intimately so won’t see it, and you just need to ensure it’s within the correct temperature range when you pour it into the specimen cup.
Does S5 Synthetic Urine Work?
The Synthetix5 Quest diagnostics question or in fact asking the question around whether it would work with any modern drug testing company, is basically that you have a very small chance.
Does S5 synthetic urine work with modern drug testing? For me, it’s a huge risk.
The formula isn’t complex enough to pass modern validity checks. You don’t really know what’s in it, all what the balances are.
There’s no mention of it being within the specific gravity range, which is something I know for a fact some drug testing companies look for during those validity checks. It could work, but overall, it’s just yet another cheap fake urine that’s outdated and not a great formula, just like brands such as Magnum, Quick Fix, Monkey Whizz, and U Pass.
Best Fake Urine & How To Use It
Synthetix5 reviews are usually unfavorable, and this is no exception. A far better alternative is Clear Choice Sub Solution. It costs around $85, and although it’s double the price of Synthetix5 at $40, you’re getting double the product.
If you want to spend a little more, then go for Quick Luck. It’s simply the most complex and easy-to-use fake urine on the market. Also made by Clear Choice, it basically Sub Solutions big brother.
It has the following characteristics:
- Perfectly balanced for specific gravity and pH
- Contains right proportion of creatinine
- Contains right proportion of urea and uric acid
- Contains 14 common chemicals found in human urine
- Looks, froths, and smells like human urine
You can see it’s head and shoulders above Synthetix5. But it’s better than that because it doesn’t even use a heatpad (and neither the Sub Solution). Quick Luck and Sub Solution both use heat activator powder. You don’t need to prepare the sample heat at all.
When you arrive at the test venue, before you go in, tap in about one-quarter of the heat activator powder and shake it gently until it’s dissolved. Then, carefully watch the temperature strip and repeat the process until you get a good reading. This takes about two minutes.
Then, tuck the sample into your underwear, and go in and confidently submit it.
Sub Solution is a powder that has to be mixed with filtered water. Quick Luck is premixed, which makes it the fastest and easiest-to-use brand on the market.

So look, my Synthetix5 review conclusion is: don’t buy it. Don’t go for budget brands in this day and age. Quick Luck is $100. You get what you pay for in life.
